We are a leading provider of radio and television broadcasting services, delivering high-quality programming to a diverse audience. We are looking for a skilled web developer to join our team and help us deliver an outstanding online experience for our listeners and viewers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a feature-rich website for our broadcasting service, including live streaming and on-demand video/audio content.

  • Integrate and optimize live streaming solutions for seamless broadcasting experiences (video/audio).

  • Build and maintain an intuitive content management system (CMS) for easy content updates, including scheduling, video uploads, and news articles.

  • Ensure the website is responsive and optimized for all devices (desktop, mobile, tablets).

  • Develop interactive features for audience engagement, such as live chat, feedback forms, polls, and social media integration.

  • Work closely with designers, content creators, and other team members to ensure the site aligns with our branding and goals.

  • Implement web security measures to protect media content and user data.

  • Optimize site performance to handle high traffic during live broadcasts.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in Visayan, particularly the dialects spoken in the Mindanao region.

  • At least 1 year of experience in web publishing.

  • Proficiency in front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

  • Back-end development experience (Node.js, Python, PHP, or similar).

  • Experience with live streaming technology (HLS, RTMP, WebRTC).

  • Familiarity with video/audio players and media protocols.

  • Strong understanding of web performance optimization and scalability.

  • Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, etc.) and CDNs for media distribution.

  • Experience with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and web analytics tools.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with media platforms like Wowza, JW Player, or similar.

  • Prior work in radio/TV broadcasting or media companies.

  • Experience with content management systems like WordPress or custom CMS solutions.

  • Knowledge of security protocols and encryption for streaming content.

  • Content Management System (CMS): The developer may need to integrate a CMS like WordPress, Drupal, or a custom solution for content updates.

  • User Engagement Features: Develop features for audience interaction, such as live chat, social media integration, comments, and voting/polling for live broadcasts.

  • Responsive Design: The website should be mobile-friendly as many users may access broadcasts via smartphones or tablets.

  • Video and Audio Player Development: Ensure smooth playback for videos and live audio, with options for video on demand (VOD) and podcasts.

  • Security & Scalability: Since broadcasting often involves heavy traffic during live events, the website should be able to handle spikes in traffic and be secure against attacks.

Skills & Technologies:

  • Front-End: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (e.g., React.js, Vue.js, or Angular)

  • Back-End: Node.js, Python (Django), PHP, or Ruby on Rails.

  • Live Streaming: Familiarity with live streaming solutions like Wowza, JW Player, or custom streaming servers.

  • Video & Audio Integration: Familiarity with media protocols like HLS, RTMP, and WebRTC.

  • Cloud Hosting & CDN: Experience with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) and Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) to distribute media efficiently.

  • Database: MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB for managing user data, schedules, and media files.

  • SEO & Web Analytics: Knowledge in optimizing for search engines and tracking user interaction, especially important for marketing purposes
