Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team of cross-functional software developers to deliver quality software applications end-to-end.

• Read planning specifications and understand business requirements to apply them in QA.

• Conduct requirements analysis for software testing, create test plans, test cases, execute tests, log defects, and perform defect fixes and reverification.

• Handle test specifications with a focus on quality.

• Apply foundational knowledge of ISTQB (certification preferred).

• Determine target values for numerical management tasks (e.g., implementation values, progress rate, defect detection rate).

• Promote and implement test automation within the team.

• Execute non-functional testing, including load testing and security testing.

• Perform backend testing and various other tests.

• Foster a QA culture by organising internal and external presentations, QA sharing meetings, and study sessions.

• Work collaboratively and proactively with IT teams in the Philippines and Japan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance Engineering best practices in Manual testing.

• Experience in automated testing using tools for web and mobile applications (e.g., Selenium with Java), a big plus.

• Preferred knowledge in security and vulnerability testing.

• Preferred knowledge in API testing (e.g., Postman, JMeter).

• Preferred knowledge in cross-browser and cross-device testing tools (e.g., LambdaTest, Browserstack).

• At least 2 years of QA exposure to web or responsive mobile applications using:

• Server-side: PHP

• Frontend: JavaScript (libraries or frameworks like jQuery, VueJS, NuxtJS), HTML5/CSS3

• Backend: API-driven, writing SQL queries for data-driven testing (e.g., MySQL), AWS architecture.

• Experience with Atlassian tools such as JIRA/Confluence is a plus.

• Experience working on both Agile and Waterfall methodologies is a plus.
