We are looking for an experienced Software Developer, with focus on PHP/Laravel development on Linux.

Responsibilties
Take ownership of the development and maintenance of the customer-facing portal.
Upgrade the product to use latest version of PHP and Laravel framework.
Design and develop new product capabilities.
Review business requirements with stakeholders.
Ensure product quality by developing unit tests and supporting QA activities.
Ensure high-security standards of the developed software.
Be part of a collaborative team as we implement Agile methods.
Keep up to date with technical trends, tools, and methodologies.
Develop your skills and learn from specialists in the cybersecurity industry.
Establish and maintain effective relationships with team members, key people leaders (internal and external), and stakeholders using effective communication strategies.
Perform other related duties as assigned, within your scope of practice and skill set.
Participate in Performance Reviews, Training Via KnowBE4 Application, Career Development, and Learning & Development as required.
You are both an individual contributor as well as a team member, do right by both.
Other duties and activities as directed by the Snare Engineering Manager or Snare Product Manager.
Requirements: Skills, Qualifications and Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience developing complex software applications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
Strong proficiency in PHP/Laravel
Experience in REST API design and development
Experience developing on Linux
Experience working with databases and SQL
Understanding of web technologies, and familiarity with front-end frameworks
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, unit testing, code reviews, and continuous integration
Experience with large-scale projects using existing frameworks
Using IDE and Continuous Integration tools, such as Jenkins
Experience using source control systems, preferably GIT/ Bitbucket
Understanding of software security concepts and risks is a plus.
Experience working with any of the following (or similar) tools are a plus:
o Issue tracking system: Jira
o Online Documentation: Confluence
o Continuous Integration Server: Jenkins/Bamboo
o Source Control: GIT/Bitbucket/Stash
