Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Senior M&A Professional to play a key role in establishing and growing our presence in the Philippines. This leadership position will be responsible for driving deal origination, managing transaction execution, and providing strategic financial advisory services to clients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record of leading end-to-end M&A transactions, excellent client management skills, and the ability to build and mentor a high-performing team. This role reports directly to the Managing Partner.

Key Responsibilities:

Deal Origination & Business Development:

  • Lead deal origination efforts by identifying and developing new client relationships and opportunities in the Philippines and the broader Asia region.

  • Prepare and deliver compelling pitch materials and presentations to prospective clients.

  • Synthesize market, industry, and company research to identify potential M&A targets and develop proactive solutions for clients.

Transaction Execution:

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of M&A transactions, from initial assessment and valuation to due diligence, negotiation, and closing.

  • Lead the preparation of information memoranda, valuation reports, management presentations, and other deal-related documentation.

  • Coordinate and manage due diligence processes, ensuring thorough and accurate analysis.

  • Maintain communication with external parties, including legal counsel, financial advisors, and potential investors.

Client Management & Advisory:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic guidance on M&A transactions and other corporate finance matters.

  • Work with clients to develop and implement financial tools, reports, and business plans to support their growth and development.

  • Identify and address client needs, developing tailored solutions to meet their specific objectives.

Team Leadership & Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of analysts and associates, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

  • Delegate tasks effectively, provide guidance and support, and review work to ensure accuracy and quality.

  • Participate in recruiting efforts to build a strong and capable team in the Philippines.

Cross-Border Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with team members in our Hong Kong, Paris, Shenzhen, and Ho Chi Minh offices to support cross-border transactions and share best practices.

Other responsibilities:

  • Spear head initiatives to improve the company website, company database(cloud, ERP Software, etc.), and marketing initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field from a top-tier educational institution.

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in M&A or consulting, with a strong track record of leading end-to-end M&A transactions; M&A experience from a Tier 1 bank / top boutique is a plus.

  • In-depth knowledge of corporate finance principles, financial modeling, and valuation techniques (DCF, precedent transactions, comparable companies, etc.).

  • Proven ability to manage the full life-cycle investment process and guide clients through deal processes.

  • Strong business development and marketing skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.

  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Perfect command of written and spoken English is a must; proficiency in French, Cantonese, or Mandarin is a plus.
