Job Summary:
National Key Account Manager is responsible to lead and manage our nationwide distributor (DB) network, driving growth in the diaper business across the Philippines. This role is responsible for sales performance, distributor optimization, and strategic partnership management. At the same time, The National Key Account Manager is responsible for overseeing sales operations, meeting targets and managing the sales team in his area of assignment.
The work of Key Account Manager combines sales tasks with managerial responsibilities. As such, the duties and tasks of Regional Sales Team Leader involve organizing and supervising members of the sales team and make sure that their set of targets is consistently achieved.
Responsibility:
Key Account & Customer Relationship Management.
Identify and develop new business opportunities to expand key account coverage and drive revenue growth.
Serve as the primary liaison between the company and key accounts, ensuring customer needs are effectively addressed.
Establish and maintain long-term strategic partnerships with key distributors, retailers, and stakeholders.
Conduct regular business reviews with key clients, analysing sales data and performance to optimize collaboration.
Sales Performance & Market Execution
Sales Performance & Market Execution
Work closely with distributors to enhance retail execution, product visibility, and in-store promotions.
Align sales strategies with market trends, competitor activities, and consumer insights to maintain a competitive advantage.
Distributor Management & Contract Execution
Optimize the nationwide distributor network, ensuring efficient coverage and performance.
Lead contract negotiations with key distributors, ensuring favorable terms and alignment with company objectives.
Manage contract execution and renewals, ensuring smooth payment collections, deduction handling, and issue resolution.
Drive distributor performance through incentive programs, training, and joint business planning.
Cost Control & ROI Optimization
Manage trade spend, promotional budgets, and marketing investments to ensure optimal ROI.
Ensure that all sales and marketing investments align with business objectives and contribute to profitability.
Work closely with the finance team to analyze sales profitability and improve cost-effectiveness.
Implement expense tracking and reporting mechanisms to monitor key financial indicators.
Market & Competitive Analysis
Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behaviours, providing strategic insights.
Collect and analyse sales data and customer feedback, identifying areas for improvement and business growth.
Team Leadership & Cross-functional Collaboration
Lead and mentor the Key Account Manager (KAM) team, ensuring high performance and effective execution.
Provide ongoing training, development, and performance reviews to enhance team capabilities.
Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Finance, Logistics) to ensure seamless business operations.
Requirements:
Must be a Bachelor’s degree in any 4-year course.
At least 5+ years of experience in FMCG key account management, distributor management, and financial planning
Technical Skills
Strong negotiation, sales forecasting, and strategic planning skills
Strong experience in cost control, ROI optimization, and sales profitability analysis
Leadership and influence in managing senior partners and internal teams.
Proven experience in nationwide distributor management, including contract negotiation, payment collection, and trade term management
Experience in cost control, ROI optimization, and financial planning for trade spending and promotional investments.
