Summary of the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Counsel to join our Legal Centre of Excellence (CoE). This role is ideal for a legal professional with at least 5 years of solid contracts negotiation and drafting experience, strong international exposure, and a keen interest in AI legal tech. The successful candidate will act as a subject matter expert for contract-related matters while also assisting with in-house legal responsibilities, including customer onboarding, contract drafting and review, and legal & compliance monitoring.

What you will do:

Legal CoE (50%)

• Serve as the go-to expert on contract negotiation, review and drafting for CLM implementations and other services

• Draft and/or review contract redlining rulebooks for use in CLM implementations

• Attend client-facing meetings and support the Sales & Marketing team and Customer Success teams as the legal expert who can communicate our services and processes with our customer’s legal representatives

• Provide training and best practices on contract management and negotiation.

In-House Legal Support (50%)

• Assist the Chief Legal Officer in handling day-to-day legal matters.

• Negotiate and review client and supplier contracts.

• Support legal and compliance monitoring to mitigate risks.

• Oversee corporate governance matters and regulatory compliance.

• Engage with internal and external stakeholders on legal issues.

What you bring:

• Qualified lawyer with at least 5 years of solid experience in contract negotiation and drafting.

• Strong background in international commercial contracts preferred.

• Knowledge and experience in GDPR and data privacy an advantage.

• Excellent legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Possess highly articulate English communication skills, capable of delivering clear and persuasive presentations and written reports.

• Highly independent, detail-oriented, and adaptable to a fast-paced legal tech environment.

• Adept at cultivating and managing strategic client partnerships, with expert-level communication and relationship-building abilities.

• Interest in AI legal tech and experience with CLM tools is a plus.

• Exhibits professional conduct, with a strong commitment to integrity and effective communication.
