Your Team Responsibilities
The Quality Assurance (QA) and Process Automations team is responsible for designing and implementing technical solutions to improve data quality, operational efficiency, and process automation. The team works at the intersection of data, technology, and business operations, ensuring that data collection, validation, and processing are accurate, scalable, and optimized for high performance. By leveraging automation, machine learning, and robust quality assurance frameworks, the team minimizes manual efforts, enhances data integrity, and reduces errors, contributing to MSCI’s mission of delivering high-quality financial data and insights.
Your Key Responsibilities
Data Understanding & Analysis: Develop understanding of financial and ESG-related data, applying analytical skills to identify and resolve data quality issues.
Automation & Process Improvement: Leverage Python programming to automate workflows, improve data validation processes, and enhance data processing efficiency.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, validate implementations, and ensure solutions align with business needs.
Project Support: Assist in project tasks and contribute to team efforts, working independently on smaller tasks with support as needed.
Quality Assurance: Implement and enhance QA processes to proactively detect, track, and resolve data inconsistencies and anomalies.
Status Updates & Issue Escalation: Keep stakeholders informed about progress and raise concerns early when encountering blockers
Innovation & Learning: Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to incorporate innovative solutions into existing workflows.
Your skills and experience that will help you excel
Programming Knowledge: At least 2 years hands-on experience in Python, with a focus on data processing, automation, and quality assurance.
Data Analysis & Visualization: Ability to analyze large datasets using Python and familiarity with visualization techniques using libraries such as Jupyter Notebook, Pandas, Matplotlib, Seaborn, or reporting tools like Power BI.
Problem-Solving Mindset: Strong analytical thinking, with the ability to understand data patterns, identify potential issues, and suggest improvements.
Communication & Collaboration: Strong written and verbal communication skills to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
Willingness to Learn: Open to exploring new technologies and approaches, with a curious and problem-solving mindset.
Team Player: Ability to work in a collaborative, dynamic environment, contributing to the team’s goals and shared success.
Experience with databases and SQL for data querying and manipulation.
Understanding of financial data concepts and ESG principles.
