We currently have an immediate need for an eLearning Developer and Technical Writer for Clark, Philippines.







About the Role:
The eLearning Developer and Technical Writer plays a critical role in creating user-friendly documentation and interactive training materials for the telecommunications industry. This position is responsible for developing eLearning modules using Adobe Captivate, maintaining and updating the Learning Management System (LMS), and translating complex technical concepts into clear, concise instructional content. The role involves close collaboration with subject matter experts to produce troubleshooting guides, knowledge articles, and training materials that enhance customer and employee learning. Attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment are essential. The ideal candidate will have a keen ability to simplify technical information, ensuring that content is accessible to a wide audience while reducing support requests through effective documentation.


Responsibilities:


  • Creates user documentation for a variety of materials, including troubleshooting tips, how-to guides, and instruction manuals.

  • Develops eLearning training modules (using Adobe Captivate)

  • Maintains and updates the LMS (Learning Management System) up to date, with newly developed modules.

  • Creates and updates users in the LMS system.

  • Explains product hardware and software configuration ideas and troubleshooting techniques in a simple language using concise articles.

  • Is able to take detailed technical specifications and turn them into user-focused Questions & Answers. Will be measured on how well we can deflect customer support requests from our live agents.

  • Meets with subject matter experts, support engineers, or other content contributors/publishers to establish technical content and create effective knowledge articles.

  • Works closely with content contributors to ensure timely completion of deliverables.

  • Ensures technical verbiage and taxonomy used in knowledge articles are consistent and easy to understand by the layperson.

  • Prepares charts, graphs, or forms to go along with rough drafts as needed. (Monthly report on the LMS activity).

  • Gathers information on their subjects in online libraries and other repositories.

  • Adjusts copy as necessary and proofread for grammar and spelling, submit copies to managers for feedback, and release the document following final approval.

  • Provides updates and different editions as necessary; manage content revisions in Aviat’s online knowledge repository.

  • Communicates effectively and professionally with various audiences, including senior management.

  • Develops or leverage existing content from other learning solutions within extremely tight timelines.

  • Manages multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical field or equivalent work experience preferred

  • 5+ years of experience in technical writing, marketing communications, web coding, and e-learning development preferred

  • Proficiency in the use of text and graphics editing software, Optional proficiency in HTML 5, JavaScript, CSS or other web development programs

  • Experience in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)

  • Experience in the integration of instructional materials such as video, graphics, animations, and interactive media elements into online courses/web content

  • Strong technical problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, maintain tight deadlines, and deliver reliable results.

  • Must be flexible with a “can do” attitude and can remain professional under high-pressure situations.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
