ROLE SUMMARY
Our client is looking for a versatile and proactive Social Marketing Assistant who can support a growing business in the engineering space. The ideal candidate will have experience in digital marketing, content creation, and branding, as well as a strong understanding and willingness to learn AI tools to streamline tasks. Owner will have a license for an AI course for them to learn new tools.
This role will primarily focus on supporting social media efforts in LinkedIn: creating content in posts, video and one-pagers, and managing various marketing tasks to increase brand visibility and drive conversions. The assistant will be expected to work closely with the business owner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Perform the following social media management and engagement duties:
Manage content calendar for social media (90% LinkedIn, 10% Instagram)
Post regularly across platforms, engaging with followers and responding to comments and direct messages
Utilize AI tools to schedule and optimize posts for peak engagement
Perform the following basic research and information-gathering duties:
Conduct basic online research to gather information on topics, competitors, or industry trends as requested
Summarize research findings in clear, concise reports or presentations for team use
Perform the following analytics and reporting duties:
Track marketing performance (e.g., engagement rates, lead generation, conversion rates)
Provide regular reports and insights, making recommendations for improvement
Perform the following content creation (video and graphic design) duties:
Edit videos and potentially podcasts, including chopping down longer content into smaller, social media-friendly clips (e.g., reels, shorts)
Use AI tools for video editing and graphic design, as well as manual editing where necessary
Ensure all visuals and videos align with the brand’s aesthetic
Perform the following LinkedIn lead generation duties:
Implement and manage LinkedIn lead generation campaigns to attract new clients
Engage with potential leads through direct messages and content outreach
Perform the following branding and graphic design duties:
Assist with maintaining a consistent brand identity across all digital platforms
Design graphics for social media posts, email templates, and other marketing materials
Use LinkedIn posts and create 1-page PDFs
Perform the following copywriting duties:
Write copy for social media, email campaigns, and marketing materials
Ensure messaging is consistent with the brand's tone and audience needs
QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor’s degree in the related field is preferred
Has experience business-to-business (B2B) focused environment, with deep LinkedIn experience
Experience with podcasting and editing is preferred
Has experience with mime styles
Ability to create quality marketing materials (ad templates, lead magnets, etc.)
Proven experience in digital marketing, social media management, and content creation with a focus on LinkedIn
Proficiency in graphic design using Canva and solid experience with PowerPoint
Competence in video editing software (e.g., Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro)
Strong interest and ability to learn AI tools (e.g., AI video editing software, graphic design tools, and social media scheduling tools)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Has a keen eye for design and branding
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
Ability to analyze data and create detailed, actionable reports
Has pro-active, can-do attitude
Flexible and adaptable to changing needs
Willingness to learn and grow within the role and able to take feedback
Strong attention to detail and time management skills
