The Application Operations department within our IT group is in charge of application/platform support, application/platform maintenance, application observability and service management, as well as technical contingency planning.
As an Application Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and managing all activities related to the Delivery Performance and Service Transitions of the Bank’s applications. Your role will also include the identification and evaluation of opportunities for process improvement based on gains and required effort.
Role Responsibilities:
Monthly data gathering for Reports and Analysis to generate performance reports with key data points
Accurately analyze collected data for the various department reports
Conduct regular BESH ticket audit for hygiene
Plan, facilitate and oversee the service transition of applications by the project team to the department units and collaborate with them on performance monitoring and improvement actions
Promote awareness of the Service Transition Framework
Participate in the vendor evaluation process of new applications of IT solutions for the Bank
Document gaps against BDO standards and commitments to address these gaps
Maintain and cascade the Support Vendor Requirements Checklist
Communicate written and verbal forms of analysis results to stakeholders and update Management on transition status
Competencies:
IT Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of IT functions, operations and support with ample understanding and knowledge of quality-assurance functions
Technical Skills: Ability to use SQL, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft SharePoint
Time Management Skills: Effectiveness in managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines, ability to prioritize conflicting demands, organize time and resources to deliver solid and consistent results for the business and brings assignments to successful completion
Presentation & Communication Skills: Strong communication and negotiations skills and has a good command of the English language
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in IT, business courses, engineering, statistics, or mathematics courses
At least 7-10 years of experience in the development/support of bank/financial applications/systems
Candidate must be willing to work in Makati or Ortigas
