Backend Developer

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer to join our engineering team. You'll work on scaling our core platform, designing and implementing new features, and ensuring the reliability and performance of our services. This role is critical in supporting our mission to transform the recruitment industry through technology.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services and APIs

• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements

• Optimize application performance and scalability

• Implement security and data protection measures

• Troubleshoot and debug issues across the platform

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices

• Work closely with the product team to deliver features that meet business requirements

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in backend development

• Strong proficiency in Node.js and Express.js

• Experience with Buildship deployment and configuration management

• Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles

• Knowledge of database systems (MongoDB, PostgreSQL)

• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Nice to Have

• Experience with microservices architecture

• Familiarity with GraphQL

• Knowledge of real-time communication protocols

• Experience with recruitment or HR tech

• Contributions to open-source projects
